TOSHIBA HAS ANNOUNCED today the joyous occasion of the arrival of the NB100 – the company’s first netbook product. Toshiba designers have produced the NB100 to be used for either primary or secondary computing purposes. This versatile little netbook will be powered by the Intel Atom CPU and comes with Linux Ubuntu 8.04 or MS Windows XP Home Edition. Wonders never cease for the NB100, as it is also has an energy preserving LED backlight and a reported battery life of up to nearly four hours. Other features include WiFi (802.11 b/g) and a 10/100 Ethernet port, integrated 0.3MP webcam, hard disk storage of up to 120GB and integrated stereo speakers all weighing less than a kilo, so it’s portable as well….
