A report in the Wall Street Journal suggests that Microsoft is looking to lay off a number of employees across several of its divisions as the U.S. economy continues its slide into a long recession. However, Microsoft is also considering other plans that would provide an alternative to ordering deep cuts and layoffs. A Microsoft announcement is expected soon.
